Shearman & Sterling advised King Street Capital Management, as shareholder, on the restructuring and sale of the Ligue 1 Football Club Girondins de Bordeaux by way of an ad hoc mandate and conciliation proceeding.

On July 26, following the favorable decision of the Bordeaux Commercial Court approving the conciliation protocol, the debt restructuring and the sale of the club to Gérard Lopez were finalized, making him the new owner of the club.
