Kris Ferranti is the Real Estate Team Leader and a partner in the Real Estate practice. He has extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial real estate transactions, including in the areas of acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, foreign investment, financings, ground and space leasing, real estate fund and co-investment formations, and LP investments into funds.

Kris regularly represents financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds, investment funds, family offices, and individual and institutional investors and developers. He is recognized by Super Lawyers, Law360, and Crain’s New York Business as a “Rising Star” in Real Estate.

Kris has authored several publications and has been involved in a number of speaking engagements at seminars and conferences and on podcasts and webcasts on various real estate subjects.

• Advised Olayan America in connection with its acquisition and financing of 550 Madison Avenue in New York City; Kris regularly represents Olayan America in a wide range of real estate transactions
• Olayan America’s joint venture acquisition of a portfolio of 48 U.S. multifamily properties for $1.75 billion
• Orion Mine Finance in the acquisition of 4.5 million mineral acres and 1 million fee surface acres in Wyoming for approximately. $1.3 billion
• Advised Credit Suisse in connection with its lease for significant space at One Madison Avenue and 315 Park Avenue South in New York City; Kris regularly represents Credit Suisse in connection with on-going office lease transactions
• Advised Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in connection with a number of mortgage loan transactions secured by properties in New York City
• Advised a European sovereign wealth fund in connection with its acquisitions of indirect ownership interests in: a portfolio of logistics facilities located throughout the United States; an 11-building portfolio located in the Hudson Square neighborhood of New York City; and 601 Lexington Avenue in New York City and the Atlantic Wharf Office Building and 100 Federal Street in Boston
• Advised certain state owned or controlled companies around the world in connection with their investments in real estate assets of all class types across the United States
• Advised Strategic Capital in connection with its sale of an indirect ownership interest in the development projects at 2 Shore Drive and 75 Park Lane, both in the Newport neighborhood of Jersey City, New Jersey
• Advised an affiliate of Taiping Asset Management Company Limited and Kaiyuan Capital (Shenzhen) Investment Fund L.P. in connection with its investment of an indirect ownership interest in the development project at 111 Murray Street in New York City
