• Masdar on a 200 MW solar PV project in Azerbaijan, one of the first renewables IPP projects being developed in the country, which involved as part of our work benchmarking this project against Masdar’s Nur Navoi 100 MW Solar Power Project in Uzbekistan
• Lenders on the project financing of a CCGT power project in Uzbekistan
• IFC, DFC and OFID on the Temane IPP project, a 400 MW gas-fired power plant in Mozambique. Awarded Africa Power Deal of the Year at the PFI Awards and IJGlobal Awards, 2021, Project Finance Deal of the Year at the IFLR Africa Awards, 2022 and Africa Deal of the Year at The Asset Triple A Asia Infrastructure Awards, 2022
• NEOM Company, Saudi Arabia’s new city gigaproject development company, on a $6.5 billion green energy joint venture with ACWA Power and Air Products that will incorporate the region’s largest wind and solar renewables production projects (4 GW in total), more than 400 MW of battery storage and a ground-breaking green hydrogen / green ammonia export project. This was awarded Green Project of the Year at the Global Hydrogen Summit, 2021
• The exiting lenders, US Ex-Im Bank, local and international banks and Islamic finance institutions, on the $1.3 billion refinancing of the Al Dur 1 IWPP in Bahrain
• IFC, EBRD, OFID ICBC and CCB on the development and financing of the Zarqa CCGT Power Project in Jordan
• Guinea Alumina Company SA on the $1.6 billion development and financing of its bauxite mine, rail expansion and port terminal facilities in Kamsar, Guinea
• United Chemicals Company Group on its joint venture with Borealis AG to develop a $3 billion gas separation unit project and a $6 billion polyethylene project in Atyrau, Kazakhstan
• Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets on the acquisition of Ocean Breeze Energy GmbH, an offshore wind farm operator in the German North Sea*
