Michael advises on the tax aspects of a broad range of international and domestic matters, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, private equity, investment funds, international banking, real estate, capital markets, derivatives, energy and infrastructure projects and real estate transactions.

Michael represents corporate, financial services, fund and private equity clients, including Mubadala, GE, QIA, Discovery, Inc. and Macquarie.

• GE on the $3.25 billion sale of its Distributed Power business to Advent.
• Discovery, Inc. on its agreement with BBC Studios to separate their 50/50 UKTV joint venture following which the parties hold UKTV's former lifestyle and entertainment businesses respectively.
• The western financial investors on the financing and gas transportation arrangements for Nord Stream II.
• Golar LNG on the provision of floating midstream infrastructure to the GTA Project, offshore Mauritania and Senegal.
• Qatar Investment Authority in connection with its holding of the Songbird Estate Canary Wharf Group plc.
• Intercontinental Exchange on its partnership with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and nine of the world’s largest energy traders to establish ICE Futures Abu Dhabi, a new exchange in Abu Dhabi Global Market hosting the world’s first Murban crude oil futures contracts.
• ADNOC on a strategic partnership with OCI N.V. which combined ADNOC's fertilizer business, ADNOC Fertilizers, into OCI’s MENA nitrogen fertilizer platform to form a new joint venture.
• Warner Music Group on its acquisition of selected Songkick assets from Songkick.com, Inc.
• IG4 Capital, a Brazilian alternative asset management firm specialising in private equity investments in Latin America.
