Partner Wanda Woo (Capital Markets–Hong Kong) was quoted by China Business Law Journal in its feature article “Power Moves” on China capital markets listing reforms. The article analyses changes under the new registration-based listing regime as the momentum shifts on going public.
Wanda comments that the new measures are not seen as having any particular negative impact on the enthusiasm of domestic companies pursuing overseas listings. “While some more work will need to be done for issuers using a non-PRC entity as the listing vehicle in preparing the filing report with the CSRC, H-share companies are not subject to substantially more requirements, as they had to go through some procedures with the CSRC in the past in any event,” says Wanda Woo.
