Quadrilateral Financial Markets Meeting

Partner Barney Reynolds (London-Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory) spoke at the Quadrilateral Meeting of the Financial Markets Law Committee, Financial Markets Lawyers Group, European Financial Market Lawyers Group, and the Financial Law Board in London on July 20, 2016. Reynolds discussed issues relating to CCP recovery and resolution. Other topics included Brexit; Fintech and blockchain technology, ending too big to fail, sovereign debt, legal considerations surrounding negative interest rates, the impact of the EU Securities Financing Transactions Regulation and EU and US developments for margin for uncleared swaps.

The Quadrilateral comprises the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, European Central Bank and Bank of Japan. Its representatives meet once a year to discuss existing and prospective regulation.
