PLI’s Annual Disclosure Documents 2017: Current Developments and Best Practices

Shearman & Sterling partner Doreen Lilienfeld (New York-Compensation, Governance & ERISA) participated in Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Annual Disclosure Documents 2017: Current Developments and Best Practices. The program was held at PLI’s Conference Center in New York on December 11-12, 2017 and covered disclosure requirements and developments affecting annual disclosure documents and proxy soliciting materials prepared by SEC reporting companies. SEC staff and faculty from the PLI focused on anticipated changes to the SEC disclosure regime in 2017, current “hot issues,” best practices and practical pointers.

 Partner Doreen Lilienfeld, Global Governance & Advisory Practice Group Leader, provides insights into a number of related topics in our 15th Annual Corporate Governance & Executive Compensation Survey.

She was also interviewed on the hurdles facing women in law on Bloomberg TV’s "Walk the Talk" series. Doreen discusses her experiences, including work/life balance issues and gender parity at the partnership level, as well as why it is necessary for firms to respond with initiatives to provide women with the opportunities and support needed to propel them through the partnership track.
