Partner Stephen Giove (New York-Capital Markets) and associate Arielle Katzman (New York-Capital Markets) spoke at a conference hosted by the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP) in Philadelphia on May 22, 2018. Stephen and representatives from Morgan Stanley presented on current practices and hot topics related to insider trading policies, and Stephen and Arielle presented on current thoughts on board diversity. 

The first session focused on insider trading policies in light of recent events, including the opening and closing of trading windows, disclosure of company policies, questions about the scope of insider trading policies, board involvement and policy administration. 

The second session focused on the current state of board diversity and the forces driving it, impediments to achieving diversity, ideas on how to improve board diversity, the potential use of corporate governance policies and practices to increase board diversity and communication of diversity to various constituencies.
