Shearman & Sterling partnered with Marval O’Farrel Mairal to host the first Legal Venture Capital Tech Camp in Buenos Aires on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. The event focused on best practices for startups looking to access institutional financing, with presentations from Nicolas Berman, partner from Kaszek, and leading experts from both Marval and Shearman & Sterling. Partner Carmelo Gordian (Austin-Emerging Growth) presented on “Lessons in Access to Global Venture Capital.” Partner Antonia Stolper (New York-Capital Markets) also participated in the event, which was attended by over 60 startups, venture capital funds and accelerators.
