Working for Change

  • London

Shearman & Sterling and national charity Action on Hearing Loss (formerly RNID) hosted a breakfast seminar in London to launch their new research around their Working for Change campaign on October 3 at 8:30am.

Employers are competing to attract and retain the best talent from diverse backgrounds, including candidates with disabilities. Although there are over five million people of working age with deafness and hearing loss (12% of employees), research shows that over half of them hide their disability for fear of being judged.

This seminar looked at how we harness talent by recognizing hearing loss at work and what action we can take to retain experienced members of staff and attract talented new employees with hearing loss.
