Partner Daniel Laguardia (New York and San Francisco – Litigation) participated in the panel “Blockchain, Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency: Regulation, Enforcement & Litigation” during the 7th Annual Securities Litigation & Enforcement Institute event, held on January 23, 2019 at the New York City Bar. During the presentation, Mr. Laguardia discussed the application of securities laws to various forms of cryptocurrencies and tokens, the impact issuance of securities over blockchain might have on securities litigation, and some broader litigation issues arising out of cryptocurrency transactions.
