Cybersecurity and Data Protection in the Resolution of Transatlantic Disputes

  • Frankfurt

Shearman & Sterling has partnered with CPR Y-ADR and DIS40 to host an event and live webinar on “Cybersecurity and Data Protection in the Resolution of Transatlantic Disputes” in our Frankfurt office on March 6, 2019. The panel was moderated by associate Yael Ribco Borman (Frankfurt-International Arbitration).

An increasingly complex web of cybersecurity, data protection and export control laws and regulations are posing new challenges and affecting the way in which transatlantic disputes are resolved. In particular, practitioners and companies on both sides of the Atlantic are growingly concerned about the impact of these laws on the conduct of arbitration proceedings.

At this event, a panel of distinguished practitioners and in-house counsel discussed the practical implications and shared tips on how to best handle disputes in light of the multiplicity of laws and regulations applicable in the fields of cybersecurity, data protection and export control.
