Partner Paul Epstein (New York-Project Development & Finance) led a roundtable session titled “The Right Financing Mix for Greenfield Versus Brownfield Developments” at the P3 Water Summit in San Diego on April 23-24. The discussion focused on the available financing options for water projects involving private investment, in particular those projects procured as public-private partnerships (P3s), focusing on differences among asset types and development stages.  Paul also spoke on a panel session at the event related to the project development lifecycle for P3s in the water sector.

With hundreds of industry leaders, P3 experts, operators and public agency representatives in attendance, the 2019 P3 Water Summit explored how P3s may be able to address some of today’s most significant water challenges.  Focusing on financial, technical and legal considerations, the event’s sessions considered the value proposition of P3s, the principles behind successful partnerships and how the delivery model has been used to maintain and improve our nation’s water infrastructure.
