On February 27, partners Gillian Emmett Moldowan (New York-Compensation, Governance & ERISA) led a roundtable discussion titled “Executive Compensation: Equity, Options & More,” which was hosted and joined by representatives of J.P. Morgan, including Kaylin Klinger, Executive Compensation Specialist, and Abigail Mead and Brittanie Bailor from JP Morgan Private Bank. The discussion shared valuable insights regarding formation and pre-transaction planning and compensation considerations for startups and scaleups. They also discussed various types of equity awards, equity plan design, cap tables, potential tax implications and industry trends, among other things affecting private company executive compensation.
