As two former enforcers, Sara and Ben picked through the details and ramifications of the European court’s landmark judgment to overturn one of Commissioner Vestager’s key first term merger decisions – Hutchison 3G/Telefonica, and what lessons the Commission could learn from the United States in the wake of the annulled decision. Ben and Sara also took the opportunity to consider the likely antitrust agenda under the new Biden administration.
