Shearman & Sterling advised Electra Partners on its cornerstone investment in Innovia Group. Electra Partners invested €40 million into the €498 million acquisition by Arle Capital of the Innovia Group.

Innovia is a leading global producer of specialty high-performance films used for packaging, and an established manufacturer of substrate used in polymer banknotes. The company operates from production sites on three continents and sells through a global network of sales offices, agents and distributors.

Electra Partners is an independent private equity fund manager with over 25 years' experience in the mid-market. During the last 25 years it has invested in excess of £3 billion in over 150 deals. As of September 30, 2013, the firm had funds under management of over £1.5 billion including available investment capacity of more than £450 million.
