Saralyn Cohen, Pro Bono Counsel and Director of Pro Bono, was recently interviewed by the Pro Bono Institute on the many benefits of doing pro bono work. In addition to the ethical obligation, Cohen discusses the responsibility of law firms to provide access to justice for the disadvantaged. She also underscores how lawyers can connect with and make a difference in both the local and global communities through pro bono work. All pro bono work is important, Cohen says, both at the policy level and the individual level.
