Shearman & Sterling advised Cadonal, S.A., a subsidiary of Abengoa S.A., as borrower, in connection with an $80.8 million A/B senior loan arranged by Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) and DNB Group, Agencia en Chile, for the Talas de Maciel II 50 MW greenfield wind farm project, located in Cerro Colorado, Uruguay.

The financing will provide for the development, construction, operation and maintenance of the wind farm, the installation of a transmission line to connect such wind farm to the Interconnected National System of Uruguay, and the construction of all civil engineering works, including access roads, substation, control station or other works needed to generate and supply the energy produced by the wind farm.
