International Arbitration Practice Wins Multiple Global Arbitration Review Awards

Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration practice captured the spotlight for its market-leading work globally in 2014, earning multiple honors at last week’s Global Arbitration Review annual awards program in Washington, DC.

The firm received the following awards:

  • Large International Arbitration Practice: for the firm’s record-breaking $50 billion Arbitral Tribunal ruling in favor of the Yukos majority shareholders. Core team members included Emmanuel Gaillard, Yas Banifatemi, Jennifer Younan, Coralie Darrigade, Ilija Mitrev Penusliski, Emmanuel Jacomy, Elise Edson, Ketevan Betaneli and Benjamin Siino.
  • Most Important Published Decision for 2014: the Merits Award in Yukos
