Shearman & Sterling once again has earned high honors as ‘Italian Capital Markets Team of the Year’ at the 2015 Legalcommunity Finance and Tax Awards. The award ceremony was held in Milan was attended by some 500 legal and banking industry professionals.

The nomination panel noted that the firm’s equity capital markets team in Italy is a market leader for number and size of deals and mentioned the work carried out by the firm for Anima Holding in connection with the first Italian IPO of 2014. The Shearman & Sterling equity capital markets team in Italy is led by partners Tobia Croff and Domenico Fanuele and counsel Emanuele Trucco.

Legalcommunity is a specialized trade journal, with wide distribution among law firms, corporations, banks and the finance community, covering the Italian legal market. The shortlist and the final award for each category were determined by Legalcommunity, together with a panel composed of general counsels of leading Italian companies, as well as professionals from the world of finance, business and communications, on the basis of deals completed and a survey with operators of the finance segment (including banks and corporate clients).
