The Board of Directors of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) has appointed Paris partner Yas Banifatemi as a new Court Member, effective June 1, 2015.
The LCIA is a leading international arbitral institution for the resolution of commercial disputes.
A partner in Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration Group and leader of the firm’s Public International Law Practice, Banifatemi has represented States, State-owned entities and companies in many high stake commercial and investment treaty arbitrations. She also acts as an arbitrator.
“It is a great honor to join the LCIA as a Court Member, and I look forward to working with such illustrious colleagues on the LCIA Court,” Banifatemi said.
