Shearman & Sterling Advises on The Kansas City Southern Railway Company’s $500 million Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, as lead underwriters, in connection with a $500 million bond offering by the Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCSR), which is being used to repay all or a portion of the outstanding commercial paper issued by KCSR, the repurchase of shares of Kansas City Southern (KCSR’s parent company) common stock and general corporate purposes. The offering consisted of 30-year Senior Notes.
