Shearman & Sterling advised Avenue Capital, BlueBay and other funds on the financing of the add-on acquisition of Wheaton Industries, Inc. (Wheaton) by Duran Group, a portfolio company of One Equity Partners (OEP) for an undisclosed sum.

Duran Group was sold from ADCURAM to OEP in February 2015. With the acquisition of Wheaton, OEP has strengthened its portfolio of life science and healthcare companies.

Duran Group is a worldwide leading manufacturer of borosilicate glass - a special glass for producing laboratory glassware and used in chemical engineering and in the industrial sector. Wheaton has manufactured and supplied high quality glass and plastic laboratory equipment for 126 years.
