Shearman & Sterling Promotes 16 to Counsel

Shearman & Sterling has promoted 16 lawyers to counsel. The new counsel represent seven practices and 8 offices.

The following lawyers were promoted to counsel:

Edward Bong practices in the Capital Markets Group in Hong Kong. Edward received an LL.B. from King's College London, University of London, and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law.

Crystal Jing Chen practices in the Project Development & Finance Group in Hong Kong. Crystal received a Bachelor of Laws degree from China University of Political Science and Law, a Magister Juris from University of Oxford and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law.

Helen Cook practices in the Project Development & Finance Group in Washington, DC. Helen received a B.A. from the University of Sydney and an LL.B. (First Class Honors) from the University of Sydney Law School.

Gerald Feige practices in the Tax Group in Washington, DC. Jerry received a B.A. from Gannon University, a J.D. from Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law.

Yang Ge practices in the Capital Markets Group in Beijing. Yang received a B.A. from Peking University, an M.A. from University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. cum laude from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Maggie Guan practices in the Capital Markets Group in Hong Kong. Maggie received an LL.B. from Peking University School of Law, an LL.M. from University College London and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law.

Ximena Herrera-Bernal practices in the International Arbitration Group in London. Ximena received a J.D. from Los Andes University, obtained an LL.M. from Harvard University School of Law and was an Academic Visitor at the University of Oxford, where she focused on Public International Law and Law of the Sea.

Emmanuel Jacomy practices in the International Arbitration Group in Singapore. Emmanuel received a Master of Science degree from HEC School of Management and a Master of International Law degree from Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris I).

Grissel Mercado practices in the Capital Markets Group in New York. Grissel received a B.S.F.S. degree from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.

George Milton practices in the Antitrust Group in London. George received a B.A. (First Class) from the University of Oxford, St. Anne’s College, and completed the PgDL and LPC at The College of Law.

Jennifer Morton practices in the Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory Group in New York. Jennifer received a B.A. from Connecticut College and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

Alfred Ng practices in the Project Development & Finance Group in Singapore. Alfred received a B.A and M.A. (Cantab) from the University of Cambridge and a Diploma in Legal Studies from Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.

Elvira Aliende Rodriguez practices in the Antitrust Group in Brussels. Elvira received a degree in Law & Economics from Universidad de Deusto, Bilbao, and Catholic University of Leuven and an LL.M. in European Law and Economic Analysis from College of Europe, Bruges.
