Domenico Fanuele, Managing Partner of Shearman & Sterling's Milan and Rome offices, has been honored as one of the 40 most influential lawyers under the age of 50 in Italy by TopLegal magazine.

The list recognizes lawyers’ leadership style, origination skills and ability to innovate in a constantly evolving market.

Citing his experience advising sovereign wealth funds such as Qatar Investment Authority, private equity clients such as Blackstone and managers of real estate funds including Coima Sgr, TopLegal concludes Fanuele is entrusted to advise on some of the most important inbound investments into the country.

Dually qualified as a US and Italian lawyer, Fanuele is head of the firm’s Italian corporate practice and focuses on private and public M&A, real estate, capital markets transactions and strategic joint ventures. He regularly represents investment banks, corporate clients, property companies and private equity funds in a broad range of transactions. 

In 2015, Fanuele was named one of the 30 most powerful lawyers in Italy by GQ Magazine.
