Shearman & Sterling represented Kallpa Generación S.A. in connection with its Rule 144A/Regulation S issuance of US$350 million 4.875% senior notes due 2026.
Kallpa Generación S.A., founded in 2005, is one of the largest power generation companies in Peru. This issuance represented the company’s first ever in the international capital markets. Proceeds from the offering were used primarily to repay project finance debt.
Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. and Credicorp Capital Sociedad Agente de Bolsa S.A. acted as initial purchasers in connection with the notes offering.
