Borovas Discusses China Nuclear Firms’ Export Outlook in South China Morning Post

Partner George Borovas (Tokyo-Project Development & Finance) was quoted in a South China Morning post article titled “Breach at Nuclear Plant Unlikely to Hurt Reactor Exports.”

The article discusses whether the recent operational error cover-up incident at a China nuclear plant may affect Chinese firms’ potential as exporters of nuclear reactors. Borovas does not see any direct ramification on the mainland’s competitiveness as an exporter of nuclear reactors. He notes there is a difference between a staff operational issue at a plant in the domestic market and the safety and quality of nuclear equipment for exports.
