Cook Named Chair of World Nuclear Association Law Working Group

Shearman & Sterling counsel Helen Cook has been named Chair of the World Nuclear Association (WNA) Law Working Group. Cook previously served as Vice-Chair of the organization for the last two years. Based in Washington, DC, Cook is one of the leaders of the firm’s Global Nuclear Group.

The WNA is an international organization that represents the global nuclear industry. Its mission is to promote a wider understanding of nuclear energy among key international influencers by producing authoritative information, developing common industry positions and contributing to the energy debate, as well as paving the way for expanding nuclear business.

“I look forward to continuing to facilitate an important forum for lawyers in the nuclear sector around the world to exchange knowledge and ideas, and raise awareness of the important legal issues that affect the nuclear industry” Cook said.
