Shearman & Sterling has been shortlisted for the International Arbitration Practice Area Award by Benchmark Litigation. Partner Adam Hakki, Global Head of Shearman & Sterling’s Litigation Group, has also been shortlisted for the 2017 Securities Lawyer of the Year award for the second consecutive year.  Hakki, one of only eight lawyers nominated in the category this year, won the award for Benchmark Litigation’s 2016 Securities Lawyer of the Year. This year’s winners will be announced at a ceremony held on February 16, 2017.

Now in its 10th year of publication, Benchmark Litigation exclusively covers the litigation and disputes market in North America. The award nominees were selected based on research conducted between March and November 2016, including extensive interviews with disputes lawyers and their clients. During these interviews, researchers examine recent casework handled by law firms and ask individual disputes lawyers to offer their professional opinions on peers.
