Shearman Advises on AES Argentina’s First-Time $300 Million Notes Units Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented AES Argentina Generación S.A., an Argentine power company and a subsidiary of The AES Corp., in connection with its Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of US$300 million aggregate principal amount of its 7.750% senior notes due 2024.  AES Argentina is one of the leading private power generation companies in Argentina.  Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Itau BBA USA Securities, Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC acted as joint book-running managers on the transaction.
