Partner George Borovas (Tokyo-Project Development & Finance) has been elected to the Board of the World Nuclear Association for a two-year term effective April 25, 2017.
The World Nuclear Association is one of the largest nuclear industry associations representing all aspects of the nuclear industry worldwide. The membership comprises senior-level executives and key market participants from major nuclear power companies across the US, the UK, Canada, France, China, Japan, Russia, Korea, Brazil and Sweden.
The head of Shearman & Sterling’s global Nuclear Group, Borovas has substantial experience advising lenders, governments and sponsors on the financing and construction of nuclear power projects all over the world. Prior to becoming a nuclear energy lawyer, he worked as an engineer for a nuclear power plant engineering firm.
