Shearman & Sterling represented Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, HSBC Bank Argentina S.A. and Santander Río Valores S.A., as initial purchasers, and Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, Banco Santander, S.A. and HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., as international purchasers, in connection with the Province of Buenos Aires’ (a Province of the Republic of Argentina) issuance of €500 million of its 5.375% notes due 2023. This is the first time the Province has accessed the Euro market since before the Argentina crisis in 2002.
