Shearman & Sterling Advises on Kinross Gold Corporation’s $500 Million Senior Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling advised J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., RBC Capital Markets, LLC and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, as joint book-running managers, and BMO Capital Markets Corp., CIBC World Markets Corp., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, ING Financial Markets LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., National Bank of Canada Financial Inc., Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., Standard Chartered Bank, TD Securities (USA) LLC, Canaccord Genuity Corp., GMP Securities L.P. and Raymond James Ltd., as co-managers, in connection with Kinross Gold Corporation’s (“Kinross”) private placement, pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S, of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.50% senior notes due 2027.

Kinross is a Canadian-based senior gold mining company with mines and projects in the United States, Brazil, Russia, Mauritania, Chile and Ghana. Kinross maintains listings on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: K) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: KGC).
