Shearman & Sterling represented Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, as initial purchasers, in connection with the Rule 144A/Regulation S initial public offering of Vista Oil & Gas, S.A.B. de C.V. (the “Company”). This was the first Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) IPO in Latin America and the first oil and gas E&P-focused listing in Mexico. The Mexican IPO raised gross proceeds of $650 million and the Company’s common stock and warrants are now listed on the Bolsa de Mexico, the main stock exchange in Mexico.
