Shearman & Sterling Advises on Bank of Montreal’s $2.5 Billion Medium-Term Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented BMO Capital Markets, J.P. Morgan Securities, BNP Paribas Securities, Citigroup Global Markets and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith as lead underwriters on Bank of Montreal’s $2.5 billion registered public offering of medium-term notes. The notes consist of $625 million aggregate principal amount of 1.75% senior notes due 2019, $1.1 billion aggregate principal amount of 2.35% senior notes due 2022, $4 million aggregate principal amount of floating rate notes due 2019 and $375 million aggregate principal amount of its floating rate notes due 2022.
