Firm Maintains #1 Rank in Breadth of Commitment Among Pro Bono Law Firms by The American Lawyer

The firm continues to achieve high rankings in The American Lawyer’s  Pro Bono Survey. For the second consecutive year, we received the #1 ranking in breadth of commitment, as measured by the percentage of U.S.-based lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work in 2017 – 105%. In the International Pro Bono category, which measures pro bono work performed by non-U.S. lawyers, the firm continued its positive trajectory – rising 10 places to number 23. The firm also performed well in the National Pro Bono category (measuring the average number of pro bono hours per U.S.-based lawyer in 2017 and the percentage of U.S.-based lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work) at number 11. The American Lawyer's list reports on the state of pro bono work in the nation's largest law firms, ranking the Am Law 200 based on the amount of pro bono work performed.

“We are so honored to once again be acknowledged for the variety and complexity of the types of pro bono work we do around the world, as well as the strength of our commitment,” said Saralyn Cohen, Pro Bono Counsel and Director, Global Corporate Social Responsibility.
