Partner and Head of China Lorna Chen (Hong Kong-Investment Funds) moderated the “Private Equity: Senior Management Insights” panel discussion at the inaugural AVCJ Women in Asian Private Equity Forum in Hong Kong on September 13, 2018.

The panel of leading private equity managers addressed topics such as the current private equity landscape in Asia (including women-led funds and private equity firms in the region), the business case for diversity, and the accessibility of leadership opportunities for women in private equity.  The panelists also provided insights on how diversified portfolios can be used to promote gender diversity and how diversity on boards leads to better returns.

Panelists included Lihong Wang, Managing Director, Bain Capital Private Equity; Juan Delgado-Moreira, Managing Director and Head of International, Hamilton Lane; and Bonnie Lo, Partner & COO, NewQuest Partners.

Organized by the Asian Venture Capital Journal, the full-day event featured more than 27 speakers and panelists discussing the issues and challenges the private equity and venture capital industry faces in increasing and retaining the number of female investment professionals.
