Shearman & Sterling has promoted six lawyers to counsel. The new counsel represent five practices and three offices across the United States, Europe and Asia. The promotions span the Project Development & Finance, Financial Restructuring & Insolvency, International Arbitration, Investment Funds, and Public International Law practices.

Lachlan Clancy practices in the Project Development & Finance group in Singapore. Lachlan received his B.A. and LL.B. with honors and Diploma of Modern Languages (Arabic) from the University of Melbourne.
Alastair Goldrein practices in the Financial Restructuring & Insolvency group in London. Alastair received his B.A. from University College London and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, London.
Tsegaye Laurendeau practices in the International Arbitration group in London. Tsegaye received his Master’s in International Dispute Resolution from Paris X University, Master’s in International Trade Law from Burgundy University and his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Angers University.
Jean-Louis Neves Mandelli practices in the Project Development & Finance group in Singapore. Jean-Louis holds an LLB (English Law and French Law) from King’s College London, a Maîtrise en Droit from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School.
Nhung Pham practices in the Investment Funds group in New York. Nhung earned her B.A. from Harvard University and received her J.D. from Cornell Law School.
Margaret Ryan practices in the International Arbitration and Public International Law groups in London. Margaret earned her B.A. from Dalhousie University, MPhil from the University of Cambridge and her LL.B./B.C.L. from McGill University.
