Shearman & Sterling Adds Corporate Partner Max Hua in Hong Kong

Shearman & Sterling announces the arrival of Max Hua, who joins the firm’s Hong Kong office as a partner.

Max’s practice focuses on public takeovers, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets (including IPOs on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange) and general corporate regulatory and compliance matters. He previously worked for two leading international law firms in Hong Kong for 11 years and helped to set up the Hong Kong law practice of a major Chinese law firm. A native Mandarin speaker, Max is also fluent in English and Cantonese.

Max’s appointment is the third senior hire for Shearman & Sterling in Asia this year, following partner Karl Pires in Tokyo and counsel Terrence O’Donnell in Hong Kong.
