Antonia Stolper, Head of Shearman & Sterling’s Latin America practice group and a member of the firm’s Capital Markets-Americas practice, was honored with Latin Lawyer’s Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Latin Lawyer recognized Antonia as a “prominent name in the market” in Latin America, where she is one of the most sought-after capital markets attorneys by sovereigns, corporates and financial institutions. 

Antonia has also been a driving force behind the New York City Bar’s Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice. As a member of the organization’s Women in the Profession Program in Latin America, Antonia has been a tireless campaigner for better representation of women in the legal profession. 

Latin Lawyer also highlighted some of the most significant deals Antonia has advised on, including Argentina’s record-breaking $16.5 billion offering in April 2016 in settlement of holdout litigation and Vista Oil & Gas’ $650 million initial public offering in 2017.

More recently, Antonia has worked on numerous groundbreaking deals, including Peru’s $3 billion Euroclearable bond offering, the $468.6 follow-on offering of Peru-based Intercorp Financial Services on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Vista Oil & Gas’ $101 million follow-on offering on the NYSE. 

The awards ceremony, which will raise funds for three clearing houses from across Latin America, will take place at São Paulo’s Hotel Unique on May 7.
