Shearman & Sterling was honored with seven awards at The Asset Triple A Asia Infrastructure Awards 2020. The firm was named “Project Finance Law Firm of the Year – Pakistan” and won six “Deal of the Year” awards for its work in several landmark transactions across Asia, including: 

• Petrochemical Deal of the Year (Regional) and Petrochemical Deal of the Year (Malaysia): Pengerang Refinery and Petrochemical $9.5 billion debt facility, also known as Project RAPID 
• Power Deal of the Year (Regional) and Power Deal of the Year (Nepal): Nepal Water and Energy Development Company $453 million loan facilities, also known as the Upper Trishuli project
• Power Deal of the Year (Indonesia): Lestari Banten Energi $775 million amortizing project Bond
• Energy Deal of the Year (Pakistan): Super Six wind programme $317 million loan facilities

The awards honor the institutions and infrastructure deals in Asia that made a difference during calendar year 2019.
