Partner Li Chen (Beijing/Hong Kong-Mergers & Acquisitions) has been honored at the Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2020 with the Individual Award for “Best in M&A.” 

In presenting Li with the award, the Women in Business Law Awards noted “her immense skill across the array of M&A, corporate, and private equity matters” and that “Li is a thought leader in regard to cross-border M&A.”

Li has over 18 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions and foreign direct investment transactions with a particular focus within China and on China-related investments worldwide.  Li also has a particular expertise in the technology, media and telecom sector as demonstrated by her many milestone deals in this industry, such as her work on China Telecommunications‘ Joint Venture in the Philippines. This high-profile and complex transaction has won several “Deal of the Year” awards, including from ALB Philippines Law Awards 2020, ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2020, Asian-mena Counsel Deals of the Year 2019 and China Business Law Journal’s 2019 Deals of the Year Awards. Li regularly speaks at conferences and seminars on complex regional issues.
