Shearman & Sterling advised FLEX Capital, a private equity fund focusing on the tech mid-market, on the financing of the acquisition of a majority share in Nitrado (Marbis GmbH), a global leading provider of game hosting and server software.

Nitrado was established in Karlsruhe in 2001. With over 70 employees the company operates eight data centers on four continents and reaches customers in over 100 countries. Besides the operation of a hosting infrastructure for multiplayer games, Nitrado develops software applications for server management, monitoring and security.
