Eric Lucas is counsel in the Litigation practice group in the New York Office. He is a registered patent attorney with a technical background in computer science. And, while much of his work does involve complex patent infringement litigation, he has also litigated copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation claims, as well as matters involving fraud and various other business torts. Eric has significant trial experience around the country in various federal and state courts, as well as before the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Eric also advises clients on various intellectual property matters, including issues involving trademark and trade dress, art law, designing around patents, and avoiding copyright infringement of proprietary source code.
