John Reiss is counsel in the Investment Funds practice.
He has extensive experience in all aspects of private fund structuring and formation, as well as related regulatory matters (particularly with respect to the U.S. Investment Advisers Act), and general governance issues. Additionally, he regularly advises sophisticated investors in connection with private fund investments, co-investments, and the establishment of customized managed accounts and seeding arrangements. He also has experience with private equity secondary transactions, real estate joint ventures, asset management M&A, and registered funds.
John’s clients include U.S. and non-U.S. firms sponsoring real estate funds, private equity funds, private credit funds, and hedge funds, as well as family offices, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors in connection with their investments across global alternative asset classes.
