概要
Elizabeth Stewart is a senior associate in the Litigation practice. She focuses on complex commercial and securities litigation, investigations, enforcement actions, and regulatory proceedings. Elizabeth has represented clients in cases in federal and state courts, internal investigations, and investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission, United States Department of Justice, and other regulators. She has defended and provided securities and litigation advice to financial institutions and a wide range of corporate clients. Prior to joining Shearman & Sterling, Elizabeth was a judicial clerk for the Hon. William C. Conner of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and was a litigation associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel.

- Counsel to underwriters, including clients such as Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and dozens of others in separate securities class actions arising out of recent stock offerings of companies such as SunEdison, ARCP, Loma Negra, Endocyte Pharmaceuticals, CPI Card Group, MF Global, Overseas Shipholding Group, and Ooma.
- Represent Japanese asset manager in securities litigation arising from employee stock option plan.
- Represent Bank of Nova Scotia in securities fraud suit involving sale of foreign subsidiary.
- Represent major global banks in investigations by numerous authorities related to subjects such as securities, antitrust/price fixing, market manipulation, and compliance and controls.
- Represent independent Directors of Wells Fargo in connection with the ongoing Sales Practices investigation.
