Edia Uko is an associate in the Capital Markets practice. She is also a member of Shearman & Sterling’s FinTech Foundry industry group, WISER, the firm’s women’s initiative, and BLAQUE, the firm’s black attorneys’ inclusion network.
Ms. Uko represents issuers and underwriters in initial public offerings, equity offerings and investment grade debt offerings. She also represents corporate clients, dealer managers and financial advisors in connection with tender offers. She is also a contributor on Shearman’s FinTech blog, where she authors posts on current events in the FinTech space. Recently, Ms. Uko served as a judge for Quesnay’s 2018 Female Founders in Tech Competition, where she helped evaluate business models of female-led FinTech startups.
