On August 22, 2012, the Securities and Exchange Commission adopted rules implementing Sections 1502 and 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the “Dodd-Frank Act”). The rules implementing Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act relate to reporting requirements regarding conflict minerals originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries.
