Shearman & Sterling intellectual property transactions partner Richard Hsu was featured in a recent article in The Recorder, a leading legal publication in the US’s Bay Area, that examined the leading technology transaction practices.

The article noted that Hsu, based in Shearman & Sterling’s Palo Alto office, had previously worked for more than 10 years with Silicon Valley entrepreneurs on licensing and corporate partnering agreements. But, since coming to Shearman & Sterling, Hsu has played a critical role in carving out and valuing IP assets on major M&A deals for global technology and life science companies. Says Hsu, "I get involved from the very beginning of the deal, understanding the technology and the IP, which for a tech company, is often the most critical asset."
