Partner Alan Goudiss and counsel Christopher LaVigne, members of Shearman & Sterling’s Sports Group, recently contributed a chapter titled “Conducting an Effective Sports Investigation” to Inside the Minds—Understanding Sports Law published by Thomson Reuters/Aspatore. The chapter examines the unique set of challenges that sports organizations face when conducting internal investigations into allegations of wrongdoing and the public release of their findings.
